Mohsin Naqvi meets Iranian foreign minister,discusses bilateral relations

Tehran: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has delivered a special message from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

According to Iranian news agencies, Mohsin Naqvi met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran, where both sides discussed the current regional situation and bilateral matters. They also agreed to continue cooperation to further strengthen bilateral relations.

During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi handed over the special message from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for the Iranian Supreme Leader to Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

The Interior Minister arrived in Iran on a visit yesterday, where he also met his Iranian counterpart Eskandar Momeni. During that meeting, the regional security situation was reviewed and issues of mutual interest were discussed.

According to Arab media sources, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is expected to discuss ways to reach a memorandum of understanding in Tehran. This is not his first visit to Iran, as he has previously visited the country twice.
