Major relief package for the public as Prime Minister reduces oetrol and diesel prices by Rs22 per liter
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that providing relief to the public is among his top priorities.


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a significant reduction in petroleum prices, providing relief to the public on the third day of Eid.
According to details, the government has reduced the price of petrol and diesel by Rs22 per liter each. The new prices will come into effect from 12 midnight.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s House said that the Prime Minister had promised the nation that relief would be provided as soon as there was room for it, and Shehbaz Sharif fulfilled that promise exactly as pledged.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that providing relief to the public is among his top priorities.
The statement further said that petrol and diesel prices had also been reduced last week, and the federal government continued the relief measures even under the toughest circumstances. Subsidies on fuel were provided to public transport, goods transport, motorcycle riders, and rickshaw drivers.
The statement added that while people in other countries in the region were standing in long queues for petrol, timely measures taken by the Prime Minister ensured the availability of petrol and diesel in Pakistan.
