The nation will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha tomorrow [Wednesday] with great religious zeal and fervour to commemorate great sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS).
The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for well-being of Muslim Ummah and for peace, progress and prosperity of the country.
Eid prayers’ congregations will be held at mosques, Eidgahs and open places in all cities, towns and villages across the country.
Ulema, in the Eid sermons, will highlight significance and philosophy of the great sacrifice rendered by Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail (AS).
People will offer animal sacrifices to follow the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).
The federal and provincial governments have chalked out elaborate security arrangements to ward off any untoward incidents.
The local administrations of different cities and towns have also made special arrangements for the disposal of offal and other solid waste during Eid holidays.
Radio Pakistan will air special programmes in connection with Eid-ul-Azha.
