Field Marshal Asim Munir meets Iranian Abbas Araghchi to discuss Iran-U.S. talks

Tehran: Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, where both sides discussed the ongoing Iran-U.S. negotiations.

According to details, Pakistan’s efforts to help reduce tensions between the United States and Iran are continuing. In this connection, Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi are currently in Iran.

According to the Iranian news agency, Field Marshal Asim Munir met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran, where they discussed diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions, ensuring peace and stability, and strengthening security in West Asia.

It is worth mentioning that Field Marshal Asim Munir arrived in Iran yesterday, where he received a warm welcome from Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is already present in Iran, where he has held meetings with several key Iranian figures and discussed measures related to easing tensions in the ongoing disputes with the United States.

Iranian media reports stated that the Field Marshal is expected to meet senior Iranian officials to discuss Iran-U.S. negotiations, regional peace, and other important matters. Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir will also make efforts to help finalize an Iran-U.S. peace agreement. His visit to Iran is part of Pakistan’s ongoing mediation efforts.
