PM reaffirms resolve to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity

Islamabad: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to defend country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against any misadventure at all costs.
He was addressing faculty and student officers at Command and Staff College in Quetta today.
The Prime Minister lauded the professionalism, operational preparedness and sacrifices of Pakistan Armed Forces in safeguarding national sovereignty and ensuring peace and stability. He paid rich tribute to Shuhada and the unwavering commitment of the Armed Forces in defence of the motherland.
Referring to Marka-e-Haq, Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces' historic victory under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. He highlighted Pakistan’s responsible conduct and escalation control in response to India’s unprovoked and hubristic aggression. He further said that Pakistan’s mature, prudent and just stance was also acknowledged by the international community.
The Prime Minister said Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq is continuing with full resolve to defend the lives and property of innocent citizens against Afghan Taliban-based terrorist proxies and to inflict punishment on terrorist hideouts and support infrastructure.
He also reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine.
While acknowledging the presence of students from friendly countries, Shehbaz Sharif underscored the importance of military diplomacy and cooperation and the strides made by Pakistan as a net regional stabilizer to contribute towards peace, stability and progress in the region and beyond.
The Prime Minister was also accompanied by the Federal Ministers for Defence, Interior and Information, as well as the Chief Minister of Balochistan.
Earlier, upon arrival at Command and Staff College Quetta, the Prime Minister was received by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
