Death anniversary of cartoonist Farooq Qaiser being today
He was well known for puppet show Uncle Sargam which was introduced in 1976 in children's television show Kaliyan

The fifth death anniversary of renowned writer, columnist, cartoonist, TV producer and creator of Uncle sargam character, Farooq Qaiser is being observed today.
Born on 31st October 1945, Farooq Qaiser earned nationwide recognition for promoting puppetry, caricature and children’s literature in the country.
He was well known for puppet show Uncle Sargam which was introduced in 1976 in children's television show Kaliyan.
Farooq Qaiser received several awards in recognition of his services, including Sitara-e-Imtiaz and Pride of Performance.
He passed away on this day in 2021 in Islamabad.
