PM Shehbaz pledges swift response to any aggression targeting Pakistan

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that Maarka-e-Haq is a day to offer thanks before Almighty Allah for His countless blessings and favors. He stated that this day has become etched in history as a great achievement in which Pakistan gained a decisive advantage against the enemy’s unprovoked aggression.

According to details, in his message on the completion of one year of Maarka-e-Haq, the Prime Minister said that the occasion is a day to express gratitude to Almighty Allah for His countless rewards and blessings. He said that today the nation remembers the determination, courage, and steadfastness demonstrated by Pakistan during a difficult time, when the enemy was dealt a humiliating defeat.

In the statement, he said that the entire nation pays tribute to its martyrs, their families, and the veterans who stood like a steel wall in defense of the homeland. He added that the coordinated, organized, and synchronized response of Pakistan’s armed forces on land, sea, air, and cyber fronts established Pakistan as an invincible power.

Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said that Maarka-e-Haq is clear proof that the Pakistani nation, while peace-loving, is also brave, dignified, steadfast, and honorable — a nation that can neither be intimidated nor forced to bow through aggression.

The Prime Minister stated that Maarka-e-Haq has been recorded in history as a remarkable achievement in which Pakistan secured a decisive upper hand against the enemy’s unprovoked aggression. He said the enemy was taught a lesson that shattered its illusion of invincibility.

He further said that the nation pays rich tribute to Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his courageous and bold leadership. He also praised Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar and Admiral Naveed Ashraf for their wise and strategic leadership.

He said that the officers and soldiers of Pakistan’s brave armed forces also deserve salute for adding a new chapter in the Pakistan-India context with the unwavering support of the Pakistani people. According to him, Pakistan not only reaffirmed its commitment to peace but also ensured the full protection of its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity by restoring the strategic balance.

The Prime Minister further said that there should be no doubt that any attempt to weaken Pakistan or commit aggression against it would receive an immediate, effective, and comprehensive response. He added that Pakistan remains fully vigilant and determined to defend and protect its borders. Pakistan, he said, would also continue its efforts with determination to eliminate “Fitna al-Khawarij” and “Fitna al-Hindustan” and to bring the menace of terrorism to its logical end.

Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif stated that any mention of Pakistan remains incomplete without Kashmir, which he described as the unfinished agenda of the partition of the subcontinent. He said that without resolving the Kashmir issue, the dream of lasting strategic stability in South Asia cannot be realized.

According to him, the issue should be resolved in accordance with United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. Pakistan, he added, will continue to fully support the Kashmiri people’s right to freedom and self-determination.

He said that today Pakistan is recognized as a responsible country that not only possesses strong defensive capabilities but has also emerged as a guarantor of global peace and stability. He added that Pakistan’s role as an important mediator in the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran, as well as its continuous efforts for peace, have been appreciated internationally. Pakistan remains committed to continuing its efforts for the peaceful resolution of conflicts.

The Prime Minister concluded by saying that on the completion of one year of Maarka-e-Haq, the nation should remember the great sacrifices of its martyrs and renew its pledge to stand like a “steel wall” against its enemies and continue working selflessly for the glory and greatness of the country.
