Speaking at a press conference in Dhaka, Afridi stated that no player has been dropped for the series, but the team management wants to provide opportunities to young players.
He said these players will strengthen the team in the future, adding that preparations are underway for the upcoming World Cup in order to build the best possible team combination.
According to the captain, three players will make their debut in this series: Moaz Sadaqat, Sahibzada Farhan, and Shamil Hussain.
Afridi further explained that Moaz Sadaqat will open the batting, while Shamil Hussain will bat at the one-down position.
The captain added that the players selected in the squad have already played List A cricket and represented Pakistan Shaheens. He noted that Moaz Sadaqat and Sahibzada Farhan, among others, have prior playing experience in such competitions.
Responding to a question, Afridi said that every team tends to perform better in home conditions, and the playing XI will be decided according to the team’s requirements and the pitch conditions.
