Emphasises that the burden of approximately 466,000 solar consumers should not fall on more than 37.6 million consumers who rely solely on electricity from the national grid


Islamabad: Taking notice of new Prosumer Regulations issued by National Electric Power Regulatory Authority, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the Power Division to immediately file a review appeal with NEPRA to protect contracts of existing solar consumers.
He was chairing a high-level special meeting in Islamabad today to review the newly introduced regulations by NEPRA.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the burden of approximately 466,000 solar consumers should not fall on more than 37.6 million consumers who rely solely on electricity from the national grid.
He further directed the Power Division to formulate a comprehensive strategy in this regard.
