Islamabad: The United States' Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin telephoned Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday and discussed matters of mutual interests.

The top US official assured the Army chief of the US support in continuing joint cooperation to establish peace in the region.
