31 martyred, 169 injured in Islamabad suicide blast

Islamabad: A suicide bombing took place at an Imam Bargah in Tarlai, the federal capital, resulting in 31 martyrs and 169 injured. According to police sources, when the suicide bomber was stopped at the gate of the Imam Bargah on Ghazi Shah Imam Road in Tarlai Kalan, he detonated himself. The bodies and injured were transferred to PIMS hospital.

Police sources further reported that the suicide bomber was linked to the Khariji sect, and the district administration confirmed the martyrdom of 31 individuals and the injury of 169. Emergency has been declared in the hospitals of the federal capital.

Sources added that police forces and bomb disposal squad personnel quickly arrived at the scene, securing the area and collecting evidence.

President Asif Ali Zardari expresses deep sorrow:
On the other hand, President Asif Ali Zardari expressed deep sorrow and regret over the bombing in the federal capital, expressing severe grief over the loss of precious human lives. He condoled with the families of those martyred in the blast, praying for patience and strength. He stated that targeting innocent civilians is a grave crime against humanity.

Prime Minister condemns the Tarlai bombing:
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif strongly condemned the suicide bombing at the Imam Bargah in Tarlai, expressing sorrow over the martyrs and praying for the quick recovery of the injured. He met with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and instructed that an investigation be conducted to identify those responsible immediately.

Shahbaz Sharif stated that the perpetrators of the bombing should be identified and given due punishment. He emphasized that no one will be allowed to spread anarchy and unrest in the country. The Prime Minister also directed that the injured receive the best medical care, instructing the Minister of Health to monitor the situation.
