Lahore: An incident involving the harassment of former singer Rabi Pirzada occurred in the Defence area, prompting swift action by the police following her complaint.
Police in the upscale Defence neighborhood have arrested the suspect in connection with the harassment of Rabi Pirzada.
According to Defence C Police, a case has been registered on the former singer’s complaint and an investigation has been launched.
Police officials stated that the incident took place yesterday in Defence Phase 7, where a man traveling in a car harassed Rabi Pirzada and her driver. Preliminary information suggests that the suspect not only behaved abusively but also resorted to physical aggression. When resistance was offered, the singer’s driver was also assaulted.
According to details recorded in the First Information Report (FIR), the suspect’s conduct further escalated the situation, after which the affected party approached the police. Upon receiving the report, police acted promptly and took the accused into custody.
Police officials added that investigations are ongoing and all aspects of the incident are being examined to establish the facts and complete legal proceedings.
