Security forces kill 133 terrorists in Balochistan operation, 15 soldiers martyred

Rawalpindi: Security forces in Balochistan thwarted a major terrorist attempt through timely and effective operations, killing 133 terrorists of Fitna-e-Hindustan over the past two days. However, 18 civilians were martyred in terrorist attacks, while 15 personnel of the security forces embraced martyrdom.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on January 31, 2026, terrorists of Fitna-e-Hindustan, operating under Indian patronage, attempted to disrupt the law and order situation in Balochistan. The terrorists carried out multiple attacks in various areas including Quetta, Mastung, Noshki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar, and Pasni.

ISPR stated that the objective of these attacks was to sabotage the development of Balochistan and disrupt the daily lives of the local population. In Gwadar and Kharan districts, terrorists deliberately targeted innocent civilians, including women, children, the elderly, and laborers. As a result of these cowardly attacks, 18 innocent civilians were martyred.

The military spokesperson said that security forces and law-enforcement agencies responded swiftly and with full vigilance, successfully foiling the terrorists’ nefarious designs.

According to ISPR, during intense retaliatory operations, the forces eliminated 92 terrorists, including three suicide bombers. This brings the total number of terrorists killed in Balochistan over the past two days to 133.

ISPR further stated that during clearance operations and fierce gun battles, 15 brave soldiers fought valiantly and laid down their lives in the line of duty.

Intelligence reports indicate that the planning and directions for these attacks were issued by terrorist leaders based outside Pakistan, who remained in constant contact with the attackers during the operations. The planners, facilitators, and abettors of these attacks will be brought to justice at all costs.

According to the ISPR spokesperson, sanitization operations are ongoing in the affected areas. Security forces and law-enforcement agencies will continue their operations with full force under the National Action Plan and the approved vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam” until the complete elimination of foreign-sponsored terrorism.
