17 police martyrs will be given houses and financial incentives


Lahore: The Punjab government has approved a martyrs’ package for employees who were martyred while performing their duties.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Law Minister Malik Sohaib Ahmed in which the martyrs package was approved for employees who were martyred while performing their duties.
Malik Sohaib Ahmed announced that 17 police martyrs will be given houses and financial incentives. Under Package II, the heirs of ASIs will get Rs5 million, houses, and other incentives.
He stated that under Package II, the heirs of martyred constables and head constables will get Rs4 million, houses, and other incentives. While under Package III, martyred constables and traffic wardens will get Rs3.5 million and other incentives.
Provincial Minister Sohaib Ahmed added that it has been decided to give house incentives to martyrs of Package III category, for which approval will be sought from the Punjab cabinet for changes in Package III rules.
