‘Vehicles less than five years old will be subject to a 40% regulatory duty, which will be reduced by 10% annually starting next year’

Islamabad: The government has allowed the commercial import of vehicles that are up to five years old.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved the import of vehicles up to five years old, and these vehicles can be imported until June 30, 2026.
The notification states that vehicles less than five years old will be subject to a 40% regulatory duty, which will be reduced by 10% annually starting next year.
According to officials from the Ministry of Finance, the import duty will be gradually eliminated by the fiscal year 2029-30.
