‘New technology partnership aims to deepen cooperation in innovation and industry between the two long-time allies’

(Web Desk): During US President Donald Trump’s visit to the United Kingdom, a significant partnership agreement was signed between the two countries in the field of technology. President Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer signed the agreement, marking a new chapter in US-UK relations.
According to a report by The New York Times, the new technology partnership aims to deepen cooperation in innovation and industry between the two long-time allies. On the occasion, President Trump stated that the agreement is already helping to spur a wave of private sector deals.
He announced that American company X-Energy and British company Centrica are launching a joint initiative to build nuclear reactors across the UK. “This deal had been ‘in the air’ for years, but has now finally become a reality,” Trump said.
President Trump further declared that the US-UK trade deal has been a success, with tariffs reduced as a result. “The United States and the United Kingdom are key allies. We are working together across various sectors,” he noted.
Trump emphasized the strength of the bilateral relationship, calling it “unbreakable” and reaffirming that the UK would remain “our strongest, closest, and most trusted business partner.”
In a joint press conference, both President Trump and Prime Minister Starmer described the US-UK relationship as “stronger and more enduring than ever.”
Prime Minister Starmer stated, “The United States is our largest trading partner. We are cooperating closely in many sectors, and this relationship has only grown stronger over time.” He announced that the two nations would further expand cooperation in industry, energy, and technology in the future.
A new bilateral trade agreement was also signed on this occasion, which both sides hailed as a major breakthrough.
President Trump thanked the British government for its support, stating, “The US-UK relationship is not only rooted in history but is crucial for the future. Together, we are laying the foundation for a strong economic partnership.”
Before the press conference, President Trump and Prime Minister Starmer held a detailed closed-door meeting at the British PM’s official residence, followed by a special reception with business leaders.
Prime Minister Starmer revealed that the US and UK are currently engaged in £250 billion worth of investment, the largest in British history.
One of the highlights of Trump’s visit was the royal reception hosted at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, where a state banquet was held in his honor. President Trump praised King Charles III, calling him “a great person and a great king.”
When asked by journalists before his departure, Trump described the Windsor Castle experience as “tremendous — really tremendous.”
