Qatar won’t be attacked again, says Trump after Israeli strikes

(Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has stated that Qatar is a strong ally of the United States and that Israel will not attack again.

Speaking to reporters at the White House on Monday, President Trump said, “Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that there will be no attack on Qatar.”

Trump praised Qatar as a very good ally, adding, “Many people don’t know this, but Qatar won’t be attacked again—though they might go after Hamas leaders.”

Trump also denied a report by the American news outlet Axios, which claimed that the Israeli Prime Minister had personally informed him last Tuesday ahead of the attacks on Doha. Trump said, “That did not happen.”

When a reporter at the White House asked Trump how he came to know about the attacks, he replied, “The same way you found out.”

According to the White House, the US military informed the administration only after the Israeli missiles had already been launched, leaving President Trump with no opportunity to object or stop the action.

Meanwhile, on Monday in Doha, leaders attending an emergency Arab-Islamic summit warned about the grave consequences of Israeli attacks.

According to Qatar’s official news agency QNA, the final communiqué of the summit strongly condemned the attacks on Doha and expressed full solidarity with Qatar. The statement noted that Israeli aggression “undermines all prospects for peace in the region.”

The summit further emphasized the need to resist Israel’s attempts to impose new realities in the region, stating that such efforts pose a direct threat to regional and international security.
