Karachi: Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho has said that it is very important to get vaccinated against HPV.
Addressing a ceremony in Karachi, Dr Azra Fazal stated that she has seen many cases in which women have died from cervical cancer.
She added that she rarely goes to schools, but is very grateful to Sardar Shah and Shahzad Roy for providing the opportunity to launch the campaign from here.
The Sindh Health Minister further said that this disease is diagnosed very late and its symptoms are very mild. In the final stage, the cervix becomes very painful.
She also stated that a virus causes cervical cancer. This is the only cancer that has been diagnosed, and it is possible to prevent it.
Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho said that we mothers and sisters will take this nation forward, women have a lot of power.
In addition, Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah, while addressing the HPV vaccination campaign, said that the Health Minister told him that many schools are not cooperating in the vaccination campaign. ‘I have immediately ordered the schools to cooperate. I am available wherever I am needed. This vaccine is very important for girls’.
On the other hand, social leader and head of Zindagi Trust, Shahzad Roy, has said that there are many misunderstandings and misconceptions about things in our country, it is likened to Corona, do not mix HPV with the Corona vaccine.
Addressing a ceremony in Karachi, Shahzad stated that work has been going on HPV vaccine for a long time. All vaccines are necessary, but the HPV vaccine is very important.
He added that the Health Minister has a big role in HPV vaccine. A lot of work has also been done to protect against sexual violence.
