With 4,825 new infections, Pakistan continue to report spike in daily Covid-19 cases

Islamabad: The coronavirus situation is worsening in Pakistan with each passing day as country on Thursday reported over 4,400 new COVID-19 cases for second consecutive day as the virus keeps spreading across the country, official data showed.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,497 cases of coronavirus were reported while 76 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 23,209.

The total number of confirmed cases reached to 1,020,324.

As many as 937,354 patients have recovered from the disease with 3,084 critical cases.

Punjab                                                                                    

The number of patients swelled to 354,904 in the province with 10,995 causalities.

Sindh

The number of infections has surged to 374,434 in the province, while the death toll has reached 5,903.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The confirmed cases have surged to 142,799 in the province with 4,435 casualties.

Balochistan

There are 30,019 confirmed cases while 326 patients have died from the infection so far.

AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan

There are 23,631 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 620. On the other hand, there are 7,935 cases in GB with 133 coronavirus deaths.

Islamabad

There are 86,602 cases in the capital city while 797 people have lost their lives.
