Pakistan: Another day of more than 3,000 COVID-19 cases

Islamabad: The coronavirus situation is worsening in Pakistan with each passing day as country on Tuesday reported over 3,000 new COVID-19 cases for second consecutive day as the virus keeps spreading across the country, official data showed.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 3,262 cases of coronavirus were reported while 39 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 23,087.

The total number of confirmed cases reached to 1,011,708.

As many as 928,722 patients have recovered from the disease with 2,677 critical cases.

Punjab                                                                                      

The number of patients swelled to 353,695 in the province with 10,964 causalities.

Sindh

The number of infections has surged to 369,245 in the province, while the death toll has reached 5,840.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The confirmed cases have surged to 142,139 in the province with 4,423 casualties.

Balochistan

There are 29,681 confirmed cases while 326 patients have died from the infection so far.

AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan

There are 23,203 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 614. On the other hand, there are 7,798 cases in GB with 124 coronavirus deaths.

Islamabad

There are 85,947 cases in the capital city while 796 people have lost their lives.
