‘Intermittent rain is expected to continue in Lahore today’


Karachi: Clouds continue to hover over Karachi as cool breezes sweep the city, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rainfall in Karachi starting from June 27.
With overcast skies and a steady flow of cool winds, the weather has turned enjoyable, prompting many citizens to head to the beach to enjoy the holiday. People of all ages, including children and adults, are seen relishing the refreshing weather.
According to the Met Office, there is a chance of rain in Karachi beginning June 27. In the past 24 hours, the city recorded a temperature of 29.5°C.
The PMD added that the pleasant weather in Karachi is expected to continue for the next two days. Today, the temperature may rise up to 36°C.
Meanwhile, in Lahore, rainfall has brought relief from the intense heat and humidity, lighting up citizens' faces with joy on their day off.
Areas including Abbott Road, Lakshmi Chowk, Shimla Pahari, Ferozepur Road, Kalma Chowk, Canal Road, Mall Road, Jail Road, Anarkali, Islam Pura, Gulshan Ravi, and Sabzazar experienced showers accompanied by strong winds, turning the weather pleasantly cool.
According to the PMD, intermittent rain is expected to continue in Lahore today. The minimum temperature is likely to remain around 28°C, while the maximum could reach up to 36°C.
Humidity levels have risen to 70%, and wind speed has been recorded at 13 km/h.
