‘There is a risk of flash flooding in streams and urban flooding in low-lying areas’


(Web Desk): Rain is expected in various parts of the country starting tomorrow.
According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall is forecast from June 20 to June 23, which may bring relief from the ongoing heatwave.
The department stated that monsoon winds are likely to cause rainfall during this period. Eastern Balochistan, southern Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to experience rain accompanied by strong winds.
From June 21 to June 23, rain is also likely in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while parts of Sindh may receive rainfall between June 22 and June 23.
In addition, due to the expected rain, there is a risk of flash flooding in streams and urban flooding in low-lying areas.
