Balochistan govt unveils Rs1,028bn surplus budget for FY26

Quetta: Finance Minister Shoaib Noshirwani presented Balochistan budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 in the Balochistan Assembly.

Speaking on the floor of the hosue, he said that the provincial governemnt has proposed Rs175 billion for education, Rs110 billion for health and Rs100 billion for law order had been proposed.

He announced 10 per cent hike in the salaries of governemnt amployees and seven per cent incraese in pensions. Balochistan Budget for financial year 2025-26 with a total outlay of 1028 billion rupees was presented on Tuesday.  

Balochistan Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Noshirwani presented the Budget in Balochistan Assembly session in Quetta this afternoon with Speaker Abdul khaliq Achakzai in the chair.

While presenting the budget Shoaib Noshirwani said that in the new financial year budget, 642 billion rupees have been allocated for non-development expenditures while 249 billion rupees have been allocated for developmental expenditures.

Finance Minister said over 120 billion rupees have been allocated for the Schools section of the Education sector , 29.1 billion rupees for the development of Higher education sector and 87 billion rupees for health sector.

Shoaib Noshirwani added that more than 26 billion rupees have been earmarked for the development of the agriculture sector while more than one billion rupees for the Food Department.
