Washington: US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce has stated that the de-escalation of ongoing tensions and the ceasefire between Pakistan and India can be credited to US involvement and support, and that a new opportunity has emerged to resolve the longstanding disputes between the two countries.
Speaking at a press briefing in Washington, the spokesperson said that although such disputes have remained unresolved many times in the past, there now appears to be a new ray of hope. She remarked that this is a golden opportunity for both nations to move forward toward lasting peace.
