Quetta: A powerful explosion struck near the convoy of Balochistan Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ali Madad Jatak in Quetta on Wednesday, killing one person and injuring ten others.
According to the police, the blast took place on Saryab Road, in close proximity to the MPA’s convoy.
The police confirmed that Jatak remained unharmed in the incident, while six individuals sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital for medical treatment.
According to officials, a victory celebration event was being held at the hockey ground to mark Pakistan’s win against India. Ali Madad Jatak was arriving at the event in the form of a rally when the explosion occurred.
Following the blast, security at the hockey ground was tightened.
