Health experts advise Karachi residents to take precautions and avoid going outdoors unnecessarily between 11 am and 4 pm

Karachi: The Meteorological Department has stated that the city is currently in the grip of a heatwave.
According to the department, Karachi’s maximum temperature today is expected to reach between 39 to 41 degrees Celsius, while the weather is likely to remain hot and humid over the next 24 hours.
In light of the heatwave, health experts have advised Karachi residents to take precautions and avoid going outdoors unnecessarily between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has also reported expected maximum temperatures of 41°C in Hyderabad, 42°C in Nawabshah, 40°C in Sukkur, 39°C in Multan, 38°C in Lahore, 33°C in Peshawar, and 24°C in Quetta.
Additionally, rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms is expected at a few locations in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
