On April 12, armed men killed Pakistani citizens in a workshop in the Mehrestan area of Iran’s border province of Sistan.
Seven of the deceased Pakistanis belong to the Khanqah Sharif area of Bahawalpur, while one Pakistani belongs to the Shujaabad area of Multan.
The victims of terrorism were motor mechanics who worked in a workshop in Iran’s Sistan province.
The Pakistani ambassador had said that the deceased included Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Dilshad, Mohammad Nasir, Malik Jamshed, Mohammad Danish, Mohammad Naeem, Ghulam Jafar, and Mohammad Khalid.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had expressed deep sorrow and concern over the incident and demanded the Iranian government to immediately arrest and punish the accused.
On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqai strongly condemned the terrorist attack, saying that the attack is a criminal act and goes against Islamic teachings, law, and human values.
