Sui Northern requested to provide financial requirements of Rs700.97 billion


Islamabad: Sui Gas companies have requested to increase gas prices from the next financial year.
According to the details, Sui Northern has requested an average increase in gas prices of Rs735.59 per MMBTU and Sui Southern has requested an increase in gas prices of Rs2,443 per MMBTU, including the previous shortfall.
The gas companies have also submitted requests for financial requirements for the financial year 2025-26.
Sui Northern has requested to provide financial requirements of Rs700.97 billion and receive a shortfall of Rs207.435 billion.
Along with this, Sui Northern has also requested to set the average gas price at Rs2,485.72 per MMBTU.
Sui Southern has requested for recovery of financial requirements of Rs 883.544 billion and a shortfall of Rs44.332 billion. It has also requested fixing the average price of gas at Rs4137.49 per MMBTU.
According to officials, hearings will be held on Sui Northern’s request in Lahore and Peshawar on April 18 and 28 and in Karachi and Quetta on April 21 and 23.
