Chinese envoy meets General Bajwa, lauds Pakistan’s positive role in regional peace
Islamabad: The Ambassador of China to Pakistan, Nong Rong called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the GHQ on Friday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) says.

The both discussed matters of mutual interest, regional cooperation, security, Afghan peace process, and the CPEC projects
The Chinese envoy praised Pakistan’s role in playing its positive role in peace and stability in the region.
The Army chief lauded the role of China in supporting Pakistan during the coronavirus pandemic.
Separately, Special Envoy of the Foreign Minister for Counter-Terrorism and Mediation of Conflict Resolution, Qatar Doctor Mutlaq Bin Majed Al-Qahtanialso called on the Army chief and discussed matters of mutual interest.
General Bajwa lauded Qatar’s role in making the Afghan peace process easy through dialogue and hosting the process, hoping for Qatar's continuous cooperation for ensuring regional peace and stability in the region.
