Buenos Aires: Argentina star Lionel Messi has been ruled out of two World Cup qualifiers due to injury.
Inter Miami forward Messi suffered an injury during a match against Atlanta United.
Inter Miami management confirmed that Messi has a minor injury, but he will not be able to play in the World Cup 2026 qualifiers against Uruguay on March 21 and Brazil on March 25.
It is pertinent to note that Argentina, which is at the top of the 10-team South American World Cup qualifying group, will take the field against Uruguay on Friday while playing a qualifier against Brazil on March 25.
On the other hand, Brazil's Neymar is also not part of the team due to injury.
