Fresh bomb dropped on citizens as Nepra hikes power tariff by Rs2.38 per unit
The tariff has been increased under the monthly fuel adjustment of March
Lahore: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Wednesday hiked the power tariff by Rs2.38 per unit, dropping another bomb on the poverty-stricken masses.
The tariff was increased under the monthly fuel adjustment of March and its application will be in the bills of May. The new tariff will not apply to lifeline and K-Electric consumers.
According to a notification issued by Nepra, the new adjustment “shall be applicable to all the consumer categories except Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) and lifeline consumers”.
