Int’l consultants to be hired for upgradation of three stadiums
Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi directs to hire immediately international consultant to upgrade the Gaddafi Stadium, National Bank Stadium Karachi, and Rawalpindi Stadium.
Lahore: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi, presided over an important meeting at the PCB Headquarters, Gaddafi Stadium, which reviewed stadiums upgradation plan in details.
Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi directed to hire immediately international consultant to upgrade the Gaddafi Stadium, National Bank Stadium Karachi, and Rawalpindi Stadium.
He said that upgradation work of stadiums have already been delayed, now speed up the process and work on it without any delay . Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi directed the formation of a 3-member committee, comprising the Directors of Infrastructure, Domestic Cricket, and International Cricket, to ensure the hiring process is completed according to rules and regulations quickly.
The committee with the consultation of international consultant will ensure to provide world-class facilities at the three stadiums.
The upgrade plan includes structural changes to the boxes, improved facilities, and numbered seats for spectators.
Additionally, the number of seats in the enclosures on both sides of the main gate of the Gaddafi Stadium will be increased. Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi also directed the replacement of screens for scoreboards and live streaming, and he directed to prepare feasibility for installation of new floodlights in the stadiums.
The meeting was attended by Chief Operating Officer PCB Salman Naseer, Chief Financial Officer, Director Domestic Cricket, Director Infrastructure, and Director International Cricket.
