Karachi: Governor Sindh is likely to be changed in a day or so as deliberations are underway in this regard, the sources close to the development said on Tuesday.
The different names emerged for the governorship of the Sindh.
Justice Maqbool Baqar (Retd) is the leading candidate for the position of Sindh Governor, the sources family with the matters said on Tuesday.
Justice (retired Maqbool Baqar had served earlier as the caretaker Sindh chief minister.
However, he did not confirm the development when asked about his nomination.
Some reports suggested that the PML-N and PPP had proposed Senator Khushbakht Shujaat for the Sindh Governorship, while MQM-P preferred Kamran Tessori to continue.
The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that his party had no objections to any particular individual being appointed as the Sindh Governor.
Bilawal mentioned ongoing discussions between PPP and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) regarding various appointments, indicating that both parties will assign representatives to agreed-upon positions. He expressed confidence in accommodating MQM-Pakistan in positions not previously discussed.
