Islamabad: Saudi Arabia's delegation will meet the apex committee of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) Tuesday to finalize investment in important projects in Pakistan.
According to the details, the delegation headed by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has reached Pakistan on a two-day visit. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed the high-level delegation of Saudi Arabia at the airport.
Industry and Mineral Resources, Deputy Minister of Investment, Head of Saudi Special Committee, Ministry of Energy and officials of Saudi Fund are also part of the delegation.
The Saudi delegation will review investment opportunities during their stay in Pakistan and there is a strong possibility of finalizing the investment plans. Another high-powered delegation headed by the Saudi Deputy Defense Minister will arrive in Pakistan today to finalize plans related to defense production and defense cooperation. As a result of the visit, Pakistan's export capacity will increase.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Saudi counterpart will hold a joint press conference today. Besides, the guest delegation is also expected to meet with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Army Chief Syed Asim Munir.
In the meetings, Saudi Arabia's interest in agriculture, energy, trade, minerals, IT, transport sectors, Saudi investment in Rekodic project will be discussed.
