Punjab Assembly session tomorrow on opposition’s requisition
The notification of summoning the meeting of the Provincial Assembly was also issued by the Speaker.
Lahore: The Punjab Assembly session has been convened Tuesday on the requisition of the opposition.
Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmed Khan has called a meeting of the Provincial Assembly on April 16 at 11:00am following the request of the opposition.
The notification of summoning the meeting of the Provincial Assembly was also issued by the Speaker.
It is pertinent to note that the budget of Punjab was approved in the session held on March 28 amid noise and commotion of the opposition.
Notably, while participating in the budget debate on March 25, opposition members Hafiz Farhat, Rana Aftab, Ali Imtiaz Waraich and Junaid Afzal Sahi said that the government has deceived the people of Punjab through the budget. There is nothing in budget for the 70% youth voter. The government is unleashing fascism against its opponents through political vendettas.
While participating in the debate, the government members of the assembly declared the budget balanced, saying that the opposition has only lied for the last four years.
Earlier on March 19, the debate on the budget was started in the Punjab Assembly, where a commotion broke out when the photo of PTI founder Imran Khan was brought into the house and the government members walked out of the house against the opposition.
The detailed agenda of the budget session of the Punjab Assembly was released on March 18.
