The rescue operation of PDMA is going on in the rain-affected districts of Balochistan.


Quetta: In view of the torrential rains in Balochistan, the government has announced school holidays across the province Monday and Tuesday, while a rain emergency has been imposed in the affected areas.
According to the details, the government of Balochistan has announced to close schools in view of rains and emergency situations, Secretary Secondary Education Saleh Nasir issued the notification.
On the other hand, the meteorological department has predicted rain with strong winds in Quetta, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Kalat, Zhob, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Kohlu, Sibbi, Loralai and Ziarat.
The meteorological department said that there will be heavy rain in most of the districts of Balochistan.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has expressed satisfaction over the performance of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) in an online meeting late at night.

The Chief Minister of Balochistan said that the people cannot be left alone in the hour of difficulty.
It is pertinent to note that at least seven people lost their lives and many were injured till last night as a result of various incidents including lightning and rains in Balochistan for the past several days.
Due to lightning in the province, two people died in Sorab, two in Dera Bugti, one in Pishin, while two people lost their lives due to roof collapse in Loralai and Kech.
