Islamabad: Asian Productivity Organization has awarded Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal with the prestigious Meritorious and Distinguished Award for his role to improve productivity.
Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal will formally receive the APO, Meritorious and Distinguished Award 2024 at the APO Governing Body meeting held in Kuala Lumpur on 28th of next month.
The award will be given to individuals across the Asia-Pacific who have made significant contributions to productivity improvement.
It is an honor for Pakistan that Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has been selected for this prestigious award.
It should be noted that Ahsan Iqbal took over the Ministry of Planning for the sixth time in March this year.
He was also given the title of Mr. CPEC by the Chinese government for initiating and promoting the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project.
In the brilliant career of Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, several projects were launched including the largest project of CPEC, Five Ease Framework, Four RF, five Economic Corridors of CPEC and National Center of Excellence.
Several infrastructure projects including the largest project of ML Railway project, Karachi Circular Railway Project, electricity, water, roads, hospitals in Gwadar are also part of his career.
