Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directs to restore the sports infrastructure in the province for keeping the young generation busy in positive and healthy activities.


Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Saturday directed to take measures for promotion of sports in the province and hiring services of national and foreign coaches for this purpose.
Chairing a meeting regarding the Sports Department in Lahore today, she directed to restore the sports infrastructure in the province for keeping the young generation busy in positive and healthy activities.
She also directed to launch a Talent Hunt Program for promotion of basketball. She said that all necessary resources will be provided for the progress of sports.
During the meeting, it was decided to set up a Sports Advisory Council in which former players and students will be the members.
The meeting also agreed to build multipurpose sports grounds in 91 constituencies of the province.
The meeting approved restructuring of the Punjab Sports Board.
