Islamabad: President Dr. Arif Alvi has conferred Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) on Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Jordanian Armed Forces, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hnaity in recognition of his efforts to further strengthen the defense relations between Pakistan and Jordan.

The investiture ceremony was held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Thursday where senior government and military officials were present.
Major Gen Yousef Ahmed Al Hnaity also called on Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi at Naval Headquarters where he was presented with Guard of Honor and later laid floral wreath at Shuhada monument.
Subsequently, he was introduced to Principal Staff Officers.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, bilateral collaboration and regional security. The visiting dignitary appreciated the efforts and commitment of Pakistan Navy to ensure maritime security in the region.
Earlier on Wednesday, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hnaity, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
