Marrying person of choice fundamental right of every girl: Fawad reacts to couple being expelled from university
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Fawad Chaudhry has reacted to couple being expelled from a private university of Lahore after public proposal.

Taking to twitter, the federal minister wrote marrying person of choice is a fundamental right of every girl.
“Among the rights given by Islam to women, right to marry person of choice is the most basic one. The university administration should reconsider its decision,” he said.
Fawad further wrote that considering girls as property is against Islam.

A private sector university in expelled two students who embraced after getting engaged on campus, after a video of the incident spread on social media this week.
In the short clip, a student, Hadiqa Javaid, can be seen pulling a role reversal and proposing to Sheharyar Ahmed with a rose in her hand. On Friday, the University took notice of the action, culminating in the Special Disciplinary Committee expelled both the students from the institute.
The notification issued by the university divided social media, with some praising the action and others condemning it for excessive strictness.
