NAB chairman takes notice of unfair hike in drugs prices
As per details garnered, NAB chairman has directed Director General (DG) NAB Rawalpindi to initiate probe into the matter at earliest.
NAB chairman stated that recent hike in prices of the drugs has affected the common man most. He went on to say that the laymen were unable to purchase medicines owing to the colossal hike.
NAB chairman noticed that drugs prices were raised by 100pc to 300pc.
It is worth here to mention that drugs manufacturing companies had unilaterally raised prices of the medicines citing devaluation of the rupee against greenback.

Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice on the reports published by GNN in this regard and ordered then Health Minister Amir Mehmood Kiyani to restore old prices within 72 hours, upon failure of which the minister was sacked.
