11 killed in Taliban attack near Afghan spy agency office
Kabul: At least 11 people were killed and more than 60 injured in a car bomb blast followed by a gun battled between assailants and security forces near an intelligence compound in northern Afghanistan.

The Taliban group has claimed responsibility of attack happened in Samangan province's capital Aybak, close to an office of the National Directorate of Security (NDS).

A spokesperson for the provincial government termed it a complex attack that started with a car blast.

The attack ended after security forces killed for gunmen in the clash.

Officials said the 11 people who died in the attack have been identified as security personnel. There are children among those injured in the attack.

Zabihullah Mujahid, a Taliban spokesman, announced that the fighters of armed group were behind the bombing.
