Gold prices hit historic high at Rs109,100 per tola
Karachi: Gold prices surged to record high in Pakistan on Thursday amid coronavirus pandemic that has led to an economic slowdown across the world.

In the domestic market, the price of the yellow metal witnessed an increase of Rs800 per tola (12 gram) to reach Rs109,100. The price of 10 gram gold surged by Rs686 to reach Rs93,536.

In international market, gold reached $1814 per ounce after $12 surge.

On the other hand, rupee strengthened in interbank after dollar witnessed 18 paisa decrease to close at Rs166.56 from previous level Rs166.76.
